Invisalign® What to Expect
A thorough oral health exam and bite analysis will help Dr. Ahrabi to determine if Invisalign is the most efficient procedure to realign your teeth and correct malocclusion. Invisalign gently realigns crooked teeth and is a discreet alternative to metal braces. Treatment plans are customized to provide patients with optimal results and improved oral health.
Dr. Ahrabi uses state of the art of digital imaging and 3-D modeling to design your series of aligners. The alignment of your teeth and the degree of bite misalignment will determine the number of sets needed to provide optimal results.
Dr. Ahrabi sends the custom designed plans to an Invisalign lab for fabrication. The Invisalign aligners are specially designed to fit tightly against the teeth. The clear plastic becomes nearly invisible when worn correctly.
Patients will wear each set of aligners for about 2-week increments. Teeth will gradually begin to shift into proper alignment. The typical Invisalign treatment lasts for about one year. The exact duration of usage will be determined by your dentist and take into consideration the patient’s personal oral health goals.
